Antisemitism can be expressed in the form of verbal and physical attacks, threats, harassment, property damage, graffiti or other forms of text, including on the internet. This report by the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) relates to manifestations of antisemitism as they are recorded by official and unofficial sources in the 28 European Union (EU) Member States.

Regardless of ethnic origin, religion or belief, everyone living in the Union has a fundamental right to be treated equally, to be respected and to be protected from violence. This contribution paper by the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) to the Annual Colloquium on Fundamental Rights provides evidence of the fact that such respect is lacking, and suggests ways in which governments can ensure they fulfil their duty to safeguard this right for everyone living in the EU.

Equality Bodies (EBs) have a significant contribution to make in ensuring the effective implementation of the National Roma Integration Strategies (NRIS) and the Racial Equality Directive 2000/43 (RED). This paper, by the European Roma Information Office (ERIO), is based on three workshops organised by ERIO with equality bodies from 20 member states. It outlines the role of Equality Bodies for an effective implementation of the National Roma Integration Strategies (NRIS) and the Racial Equality Directive (RED), as well as key challenges and potential solutions and recommendations to effectively protecting Roma against discrimination. Finally, it outlines good practices by Equality Bodies in effectively addressing Roma discrimination which have been elaborated during the workshops.

The Commission has issued a Report on the implementation of the ‘Gender Goods and Services Directive’ (Directive 2004/113/EC) following consultation with the Member States and other stakeholders, including national equality bodies and Equinet.
